Job Summary
The Purchasing Staff is a critical member of the Procurement team, responsible for the strategic acquisition of goods and services that fuel Amazon's operations. You'll work closely with internal teams to understand their needs, identify the best suppliers, and secure the most favorable contracts. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Market Research and Vendor Sourcing: Proactively research and identify qualified vendors who meet our quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing information.
- Request for Proposal (RFP) Development and Management: Assist in developing and issuing RFPs to potential vendors, outlining product specifications and evaluation criteria. Evaluate vendor responses, compare pricing structures, and negotiate with shortlisted suppliers to secure the best possible terms.
- Purchase Order Management: Create and manage purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company policies and procedures. Ensure timely order placement and track purchase deliveries.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with key vendors, fostering open communication and collaboration.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements. Generate reports summarizing purchasing activities and performance metrics.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Adhere to all company procurement policies, legal regulations, and ethical business practices. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks associated with vendor sourcing and contractual agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and evaluate potential vendors for products and services.
- Develop and manage RFPs.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors.
- Create and manage purchase orders.
- Track purchase deliveries and resolve any discrepancies.
- Manage vendor relationships.
- Analyze procurement data and generate reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with procurement software (e.g., SAP) a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience:
This position is open to both recent graduates (freshers) and experienced professionals.
